De Canadese verslaggever Ian Connacher van Cryptic Moth Productions reisde twee jaar lang over de wereld om een lange film te maken over het probleem van plastic vervuiling. Zijn onderhoudende documentaire "Addicted to Plastic" bevat ook beelden van het Save the North Sea Stormvogel project waarin de Nederlandse Zeevogelgroep deelneemt. In dat onderzoek worden plastics uit maaginhouden van aangespoelde Noordse Stormvogels gebruikt als graadmeter voor de hoeveelheid zwerfvuil op de Noordzee (zie downloads). De documentaire (engelstalig) is nu ook te bekijken op internet.

ADDICTED TO PLASTIC
Canadian reporter Ian Connacher of Cryptic Moth Productions travelled around the world for two years to make a long film about the problem of plastic pollution. His entertaining documentary "Addicted to Plastic" includes footage of the Save the North Sea Fulmar project in which the Dutch Seabird Group participates. In that study, plastics in stomach contents of beached seabirds are used to monitor litter in the North Sea (see downloads). The documentary can now be viewed on the internet.
