BRENGT ONDERZOEK AAN STORMVOGELS IN BEELD

Enige tijd terug bezocht Omroep Friesland IMARES op Texel voor opnames over het probleem van plastics en het daarop gerichte onderzoek aan Noordse Stormvogels. De opnames vonden plaats in het kader van de documentaire
"Snelweg Noordzee: Afval overboord"
of op zijn Fries
"Snelwei Noardsee: ôffal oer board"
die op 28 februari 2010 's middags op Nederland 2 landelijk is uitgezonden. De documentaire gebruikt van begin tot eind het stormvogelproject als de rode draad. Een uitgesproken compliment aan alle NZG vrijwilligers die aan het onderzoek bijdragen! Ook zonder kennis van de Friese taal is de documentaire uitstekend te volgen. Zet het scherm op 'full screen'. Ga er wel even voor zitten want de documentaire duurt een half uur.

Marine Litter documentary highlights Seabird Group research on Northern Fulmars (…in Dutch ….)

Recently a film-team of ‘Friesland Broadcasting’ visited IMARES on Texel to shoot footage for a documentary on marine litter and shipping. Our research project on Fulmar stomachs as a marine debris monitor is used as the central theme throughout the documentary. This is a major compliment to all those volunteers that contribute to the Fulmar project! This is a long (30 mns) documentary, unfortunately in Dutch and partly ‘Frisian’, but nevertheless may contain nice images. Take a look at:
